About the Philippine solar market
The Philippines is a perennial power supply shortage country, many areas often make "power shortage", from the market environment to policy interpretation to the country's recent energy storage project planning and implementation to better understand the current Philippine photovoltaic market. The Philippines is one of the richest regions in the world in terms of solar resources. The distribution of solar energy resources in the country is relatively uniform, and the total annual radiation is between 1500kWh/m2-2100kWh/m2. From a national perspective, the two high-value areas of total annual solar radiation in the Philippines are located in the northern Luzon region and the southern Mindanao region of the Philippines, with the total annual radiation of more than 2000kWh/m2, and the rest of the areas between 1500kWh/m2-2000kWh/m2. The Philippines is very rich in wind resources, basically all over the country, among which the most abundant wind resources are in the South Tagalog region and the Western Visayas area, and the overall average wind speed is high.
